Dumpsters for Storm Debris

We (Bridgestone MUD) hope that everyone is starting to get back to some normalcy in their life after the winter storm. We know it’s been tough for those of us that have damage to our homes due to busted pipes and water leaks.

Republic Services our trash provider (per their contract) will not pick up sheetrock, carpet and other items that may have been damaged in yours homes and we know there has been a lot of damage.

For that reason Bridgestone MUD has contracted with Republic to bring two roll-off dumpsters to our district for storm recovery.

Please follow the map provided in this message.

We are asking that you please make sure that all of your trash goes inside the dumpster and not on the ground.

We hope this will help.

Trash Collection Update

As you can imagine routes were extremely heavy today – over twice the normal volume. We did not complete service for the following communities:

  • Springbrook
  • Gosling Pines
  • Rhodes Landing
  • Sentera Lakes

Trucks will be back in the District first thing in the morning to complete these neighborhoods. We were happy to see many of the residents put out their recycling carts with their excess trash.

Thank you for your patience. We are hoping Thursday will be more in line with normal volumes. Thank you.

Boil Water Notice Rescinded

On February 18, 2021, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Bridgestone MUD public water system, (PWS ID 1011550) to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of February 22, 2021.

Please share this information with all the other people who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly (for example, people in apartments, nursing homes, schools, and businesses).

If you have questions concerning this matter, you may contact Water District Management at (281) 651-0861.
